2025 Product Review

As the year comes to a close, I've been taking stock of my business and the growth that I've made. One thing I did at the beginning of 2025 was to make a wish list of projects I wanted to complete. Here is a review of those projects. Ones I completed, and ones that are still on the back burner. There is a lot of information in this post so don't feel bad if you can't get through all of it. This has been a great way for me to organize my thoughts and reflect on my follow through as the year progressed.

The things I completed and works in progress:

I'm super proud of my continued work on the field guide. That has been such an amazing product, and has been way more successful that I originally anticipated. I added on moths, mushrooms, and griffins. This year I plan to create flowers, butterflies and trees.

I was able to complete my tarot deck. I'm still working on the book. I'm planning for a book release in Nov 26 with my Tarot Card show at the Columbia Art League. I'm not a great writer so it's taken much longer to complete it than originally anticipated.

So many new bandanas! I love making bandanas and it seems like you all really like buying them. I was able to add three new bandana designs this year, and I'm already working on two new ones in 2026. Stay tuned for more info!

Also two more bitch tees. I made Magic Bitch in the spring, and Spooky Bitch in the fall. Next spring is Gay Bitch (a unicorn), and Basic Bitch (pumpkin spice and messy bun) in the fall. Another component I'm working on for my website is adding DTF (direct printing) for tees. My main complaint is that my bitch tees only come on crops. I'm working on a way for the Bitch tees to come on other styles of shirts, exclusively on my website!

The skeleton dinosaurs were way more popular than I expected. I usually do fantasy driven design so this was a little bit out of my original illustration concepts. But you all loved them! I would like to make more dinos this year, but I'm not sure where to put them on my monthly themes. But I have made reprints and plan to have them at Art in the Park again.

Other misc product fulfillment was wood earrings, blind bags, mystery boxes, enamel pins, and mugs. Expect more of all of these things. New mystery boxes will be a Pizza Hut shaped box and a Baba Yaga Alice house box. Those have been started but are still in the works. Expect those to launch in the spring of 2026. I reprinted my popular Luna moth enamel pin and I've added a monarch and morel mushroom sprite to my 2026 list. I'd also like to make a gold bone unicorn pin and a rainbow cat pin.

Things I did not complete:

Top thing that was not started was plushies. I'll be honest... tariffs killed this dream. It is way too expensive to order these from China. I don't foresee the cost going down anytime soon. I also tried to make some plushies by hand. That dream also failed. I'm not good with sewing machines. I could probably make them by hand (which I really don't mind doing) but it is way too time-consuming with my busy schedule. This has been put on hold.

I still plan to make some zines in 2026. I want to take old sketchbooks images and make them into some small foldable books. I would also like to put my field guides in small booklets. It's time-consuming but I put this back on my 2026 product list.

I still want to make comic book tissue paper too. I have the storyboards ready and some sketch mockups, but it has also been too time-consuming. I'm putting this on my 2026 product list again.

Notepads and washi tape has been pushed back. I have a brand I created called "organized Hot Mess", but it's on the back burner because of printing costs. This is one I will make eventually, but it is not on my list for 2026. Maybe 2027.

Calendars and paper toy book is back on the list but I'm not sure if that will be completed. I'd really love to do both but again, but it's time-consuming. I'll have these as a maybe. The only thing left on my list is bag clips and black and white hologram moths. I'm not putting them in 2026. I like the ideas, I still might make them, but I'm not as enthusiastic about it as I was last year.

New products on my list:

I think I mentioned most of the new stuff. Butterfly, flowers, and trees for my field guide. More bandana designs. Two new bitch tees. I'm adding new mystery boxes and blind bags. And I already have more enamel pins coming.

Other things on my list; more 80's baby stuff. Next I'm doing "80's Queens". My current list of queens are Strawberry Shortcake, Jem, Cheetara, Rainbow Brite, Lady Lovely Locks, April, Lady Amalthea, and Princess Peach. It's a big list but there are some real bangers from the 80's.

Summary:

So that's it. I put this on Patreon first so sign up for free if you like these updates! I plan to do more blog posts as the new year begins, but when things get busy I do neglect this. If I don't feel like writing, then I won't. I really don't care if it suffers. I'd rather be happy than always be grinding. I already grind enough! Hope you enjoy the update! If you made it this far, thanks for sticking with me. I appreciate you and all you do for my business. Here's to a new year and many more projects!

Best,

Michelle
