A closer look at the 1st and 2nd Editions of the Art Chica Marcum Tarot Deck After nearly ten years of illustrating, designing, and bringing my tarot deck to life, I'm excited to share the differences between my 1st and 2nd Edition Tarot Decks! Although both editions feature my original 78 tarot illustrations, their artwork, size, packaging, finish, typography, and production differ significantly. The 1st Edition was a labor of love, handmade and assembled by yours truly. The

This fall, Scott and I have been working hard to upgrade our Renaissance Fair booth for the Central Missouri Renaissance Fair in Kingdom City, Missouri. What started as a wild idea a few years ago has slowly grown into something we're incredibly proud of, our very own giant mushroom tent! But before I get into all the updates, I want to share a little about how this whole project started. A Little Renaissance Fair History A couple of years ago, I took Scott to his very first

This October, I'm returning to Biscuits, Beats & Brews at Cooper's Landing, and this year's event is particularly special to me. Not only will I be vending, but I also had the opportunity to create the official event artwork. Biscuits, Beats & Brews has been part of my art business journey since the very beginning, so I thought it would be fun to look back at how it all started. 2021: My Very First Pop-Up Back in 2021, someone discovered my artwork on Etsy and invited me to v

This October, I’m adding a brand-new section to my ongoing Field Guide to Missouri Fairies: Missouri’s Treefolk. Every year since starting my business in 2022, I’ve created a new illustration to celebrate the Lunar New Year. What began as a personal challenge slowly turned into a tradition I deeply cherish. Each zodiac animal marks a chapter of growth, progress, and creative evolution. For the Year of the Horse , I continued my practice of creating two interpretations of the zodiac. One as the animal itself, and one as a human-animal figure. The animal form always comes first. It’s abou

As the year comes to a close, I've been taking stock of my business and the growth that I've made. One thing I did at the beginning of 2025 was to make a wish list of projects I wanted to complete. This has been a great way for me to organize my thoughts and reflect on my follow throu
